Open Summer of Code 2018
What?
Open Summer of Code is a 4-week summer programme in July 2018. The aim is to provide Belgian students with the training, networking and support they need to turn open innovation projects into powerful real-world services.
As part of the “data for better health” initiative, a group of six students will be working with the open data platform “fair.healthdata.be”. More specifically, they will use the available data and metadata to build a series of data visualisations.
The students are accompanied by a mentor from Open Knowledge Belgium and the team from healthdata.be (Sciensano). The Minister of Social Affairs and Health, Dr. Maggie De Block, will also come to encourage students.
